At Volunteer State Bank, the foundation of each customer relationship is trust. You have chosen to do business with Volunteer State Bank, and we are obligated to honor that relationship with great care, beginning with the information you have chosen to share with us. We believe that your privacy should not be compromised. At the same time, we want to offer you the array of financial products and services you need to accomplish your financial goals.
At Volunteer State Bank, we collect, retain and use information about you only for the purpose of serving your financial needs and administering our account relationships. Such information includes for example: account balance, income, assets, insurance premiums, payment history and overdraft history. Some information is provided to Volunteer State Bank directly by you; other information is obtained from outside sources. We use this information to protect and administer your records, accounts, and funds and to comply with certain laws and regulations.
We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. Should you ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about you, please notify us. We will investigate your concerns and correct any inaccuracies.
We limit employee access to your personal information to only those with a business reason for knowing such information. Employees are educated on the importance of maintaining the confidentiality of customer information. Employees who violate these privacy principles will be subject to disciplinary measures.
Volunteer State Bank is committed to the security of your financial and personal information. We have established and continually maintain security standards and procedures to help us protect you from unauthorized access to confidential information about you, including through the internet.
It is Volunteer State Bank’s policy not to reveal specific information about your accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use unless: 1) you request or authorize it; 2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by you; 3) the information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency; or 4) the disclosure is required by or allowed by law (e.g., subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, request by regulator, etc.). We share information about you with our affiliates. Our affiliates include a mortgage company, an insurance agency(s), and a title company.
We may share certain customer information with selected vendors and service companies to facilitate the offering, administration, collection, and delivery of a product or service. We require third parties to comply with strict standards regarding security and confidentiality of such information. They are not permitted to release, use for their own purpose, or sell any customer information we share with them to any other party.
If you chose to terminate your relationship as a customer of Volunteer State Bank, the non-public personal information that we have acquired during that time will be afforded the same privacy as that of our customers.
Volunteer State Bank does not sell customer information to outside parties.
Fair Credit Reporting Act Notice of Sharing Information with Affiliates
From time to time, we may disclose information regarding our experiences and transactions with you to financial service providers, who are our affiliates, so that they may offer or provide additional services to you. We also may share other information we obtain about you (e.g., from third parties, such as credit reporting agencies) with those companies, unless you notify us before the information is initially communicated that you do not want us to share that information.
