45 angels Adopted to Celebrate Volunteer State Bank's 45th Anniversary

12/06/2022

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Dec. 6, 2022 – Volunteer State Bank recently celebrated its 45th anniversary with its 45 Angels for 45 Years initiative. Through a partnership with The Salvation Army, the bank adopted 45 angels to commemorate serving the community for 45 years. The angels adopted represent Forgotten Angels, children whose tags had not been selected from an angel tree, or angels that were selected, but gifts were not returned.

“We are extremely grateful for Volunteer State Bank and the support delivered by their team. Their community partnership helps to alleviate the stress our families feel when trying to figure out how to provide a sense of normalcy for their children while maintaining already tight budgets. Their generous contributions will ensure that 45 children, and their parents or guardians, will wake up to a bright and happy Christmas morning,” said Captain Elaine Canning, area commander for The Salvation Army Nashville. As one of the Salvation Army’s most recognizable programs, thousands of children in Middle Tennessee are served each year.

Founded in 1977, Volunteer State Bank has been committed to providing service and support to the communities it serves. “We could not be in business for 45 years without the continued support of our local communities. We are proud to partner with The Salvation Army to deliver this experience to children in Middle Tennessee and help create a brighter Christmas season. It truly will be a happier holiday from our family to theirs,” stated Tony Gregory, president and CEO of Volunteer State Bank. “I cannot think of a more meaningful way to recognize this anniversary milestone.”

Volunteer State Bank’s community commitment includes supporting nonprofit organizations across its service area, which includes Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson counties.
